Description

This Apple Pie Breakfast Pastry is flaky, golden, and filled with warm cinnamon apples. Easy to make with puff pastry and topped with a sweet vanilla glaze!


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Optional: powdered sugar glaze or icing drizzle

Instructions

  1. Sauté diced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and butter over medium heat until softened (8–10 min).
  2. Roll out pastry, cut into squares, spoon filling into centers, fold or cover with another square.
  3. Crimp edges with fork, brush with egg wash, bake at 375°F for 20–25 minutes until golden.
