- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 4 tsp granulated sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 cups buttermilk
- ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°F.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- Stir in buttermilk until combined (do not overmix).
- Pour melted butter into the baking dish.
- Add biscuit dough on top of butter, gently spreading evenly.
- Score the dough into 9 squares using a knife.
- Bake for 25–28 minutes until golden and crispy-bottomed.
- Cool for 5 minutes before serving warm.
