Description

Ingredients

  • 1½ cups granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • ⅓ cup evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon cornmeal
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust (deep dish style)

Instructions

  1. reheat the Oven
  2. Set your oven to 350°F. Place the rack in the center.
  3. Whisk the Dry Ingredients
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine sugar, cocoa powder, and cornmeal.
  5. Add the Wet Ingredients
  6. Stir in the eggs, evaporated milk, vanilla, and melted butter until smooth.
  7. Prepare the Crust
  8. Fit the pie crust into your 9-inch pan. Crimp the edges if desired.
  9. Pour and Bake
