- 2 slices of thick bread (white, sourdough, or multigrain)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 fresh green chilies, finely sliced
- 2 large eggs
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Optional garnish: cilantro, chaat masala, chili flakes
Instructions
Toast & Prep
- Lightly toast the bread slices on a skillet with 1 tablespoon of butter until golden brown.
- Set aside on a baking tray.
Build the Cheese Toast
- Spread grated cheese generously over each slice of toasted bread.
- Scatter sliced green chilies on top.
- Set aside on a baking tray.
Cook the Eggs
- In the skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of butter.
- Crack eggs gently into the pan and cook sunny-side up, seasoning with salt and pepper.
