Description

Lemon Chicken Romano is a crispy, pan-fried cutlet coated in Romano cheese and breadcrumbs, topped with a zesty lemon butter sauce. Easy, bright, and full of flavor!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts, halved horizontally
  • Salt and black pepper
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 ½ cups finely grated Pecorino Romano cheese
  • 1 ½ cups panko bread crumbs
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • Olive oil, for frying
  • Optional: chopped fresh parsley and lemon wedges for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pound the chicken cutlets to even thickness
  2. Bread with flour → egg/lemon mixture → Romano/panko coating
  3. Pan-fry until golden brown and internal temp hits 165°F
  4. Drain on paper towels, garnish, and serve hot
