  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup butter (unsalted)

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken dry and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  2. Let it sit at room temperature for 15 minutes.
  3. Heat olive oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high.
  4. Sear chicken 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Remove from skillet and set aside (it will finish cooking in the oven).
  6. In the same skillet, add butter and garlic.
  7. Stir in brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, vinegar, and red pepper flakes.
  8. Simmer 2–3 minutes until thickened slightly.
  9. Return chicken to skillet or transfer to baking dish.
  10. Spoon glaze generously over chicken.
  11. Bake at 375°F for 20–25 minutes, basting halfway through.
