Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (16 ounce) package spaghetti
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes with garlic
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Save 1/2 cup of pasta water for sauce adjustment.
  3. Sauté the Aromatics
  4. Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet.
  5. Add onion and garlic. Sauté until translucent.
  6. Cook the Shrimp
  7. Add shrimp to skillet, season with salt and pepper.
  8. Sear 1–2 minutes each side until just pink.
  9. Deglaze & Build the Sauce
  10. Pour in white wine and lemon juice. Let simmer 2–3 minutes.
  11. Add diced tomatoes and red pepper flakes.
  12. Toss pasta into the sauce. Add pasta water if needed.
  13. Garnish with parsley, optional Parmesan. Serve hot.
